Harmony es el asteroide que se convierte en la tercera luna de Marte. Existe en cien formas diferentes y cada una de ellas, con presencia hipotética en cien universos paralelos. Esta obra es la historia de una posibilidad, el deseo de descubrir algo eludiendo las normas de la ciencia o aprovechando sus teorías paradójicas. Mediante este proyecto emprendemos, como decía Borges, la poética y ambiciosa acción de demandarle una estrella -o un asteroide- más al cielo, recurriendo al universo digital para complementar la realidad.
Para desarrollar el proyecto la artista ha creado un algoritmo capaz de generar imágenes de asteroides a partir de fotografías de cuerpos celestes avistados por la NASA. Cada Harmony procede de una red neuronal artificial que trabajó durante meses hasta crear cien versiones diferentes y únicas, clasificadas de H001 a H100. Al igual que en el metaverso, cada Harmony apunta a un universo posible con innumerables matices. El ordenador es el telescopio que alcanza a revelar esas visiones, aunque sus fronteras se limiten al ámbito virtual.

Harmony is the asteroid that becomes the third moon of Mars. It exists in a hundred different forms, each with a hypothetical presence in a hundred parallel universes. This work is the story of a possibility, the desire to discover something by circumventing the rules of science or taking advantage of its paradoxical theories. Through this project we undertake, as Borges said, the poetic and ambitious action of demanding one more star - or asteroid - to the sky, appealing to the digital universe to complement reality.
To develop the project, the artist has created an algorithm capable of generating images of asteroids from photographs of celestial bodies sighted by NASA. Each Harmony comes from an artificial neural network that worked for months to create one hundred different and unique versions, classified from H001 to H100. As in the metaverse, each Harmony points to a possible universe with innumerable nuances. The computer is the telescope that reaches out to reveal these visions, even if its boundaries are limited to the virtual realm.
