Move fast and break things hace referencia al eslogan utilizado por Facebook en sus inicios y que sirvió como mantra de una manera de hacer asociada a los tiempos acelerados que habitamos. Moverse rápido, romper cosas, acciones que apuntan a un momento donde la reflexión y la pausa desaparecen o pasan a un segundo plano. Esta apropiación irónica de la famosa frase mira hacia un hacer inserto en ese mismo tiempo acelerado que coincide con el momento en que se encuentran lxs artistas participantes en las muestras. Un momento donde lo rápido toma presencia pero donde también, y a diferencia de Facebook, cabe una pregunta prolongada sobre nuestras distintas prácticas y formas de vida.
Take the floor propone un espacio para la experimentación y la práctica donde confluyen diferentes investigaciones cuyo momento de toma de palabra tiene especial presencia. Un espacio caracterizado por la horizontalidad: las diferentes voces se retroalimentan y se contaminan, dando lugar a una conversación como un chat de Twitch, donde las palabras, los gestos y las imágenes se entrelazan y se compensan. Take the floor, que en español se traduce como tomar la palabra, pero cuya traducción literal sería tomar el suelo, espera un aterrizaje de diferentes planteamientos artísticos que toman el suelo y la palabra. Un momento vital donde la voz propia, en sintonía con una colectividad en la que insertarse, encuentra el lugar donde acabe de darse forma.

Move fast and break things refers to the slogan used by Facebook in its early days, which served as a mantra for a way of doing things associated with the accelerated times we live in. Move fast, break things, actions that point to a moment where reflection and pause disappear or take a back seat. This ironic appropriation of the famous phrase looks towards a way of doing inserted in that same accelerated time that coincides with the moment in which the artists participating in the exhibitions find themselves. A moment where the fast takes presence but where also, unlike Facebook, there is room for a prolonged questioning of our different practices and ways of life.
Take the floor proposes a space for experimentation and practice where different investigations converge and where the moment of speaking takes on a special presence. A space characterised by horizontality: the different voices feed off and contaminate each other, giving rise to a conversation like a Twitch chat, where words, gestures and images intertwine and compensate each other. Take the floor, which in Spanish translates as tomar la palabra, but whose literal translation would be to take the floor, awaits a landing of different artistic approaches that take the floor and the word. A vital moment where one's own voice, in tune with a collectivity in which to be inserted, finds a place where it can take shape.
